I guess these occasional link blasts are an integral part of Web culture. Warning: one of these is terribly sad.

First of all, the wonderful Strange Maps blog.

This has been much-linked but one more can’t hurt: Viewing American class divisions through Facebook and MySpace by Danah Boyd. Call me old-fashioned, but I still think matters of class are relevant to understanding, well, anything that involves humans.

Here’s one to show your kids: How Big Is Earth?.

Good cheer: Jason Beloro and friends are doing an MLB Road Trip. Sounds like serious fun. And on the subject of baseball, I don’t want to go all soppy but this picture is nothing short of transcendent.

Not good cheer: Derek Miller, a leading citizen of Vancouver’s technology scene, relates his news in Dead Man Walking? Holy crap. I really hope to hang out with Derek at the 2010 Olympics.

Thank you for *Strange Maps* link! This is one of the best blog I've ever read :-)

Check out this map where US states renamed for countries with similar GDPs.
