California poppy blossoms

They do require a bit of discipline; like forget-me-nots, left to themselves they will eventually fill most garden plots. On the other hand, if you tossed some forget-me-nots and some California poppies into a piece of garden and let ’em go, you’d have nice bright colours all through every spring.

The little round things in the top center are blueberry blossoms, all but one fallen.
