We visited the UBC Botanical Garden today because we had a visitor in town—more on that anon—and I got, among other things, two interesting texture shots.

The first is a pond, stagnant after a few days of no rain, in the Native Garden. The second is white magnolia blossoms against the remarkably blue and pleasant sky this mid-March day.
