Doing that pretty-shapes post last night reminded me of a couple of pictures hanging around from the Maui vacation that are the same, only different.
The first is the underside of one of the roofs of a pagoda near that Buddha; the second is the underside of the roof of the Korean gazebo in the memorial gardens at Kepaniwai Park on Maui.
