Today, in a presentation at Fort Monroe, Dr. Geoffrey Malafsky, a science consultant for the Navy, used both of these words in a presentation on Knowledge Management (no, I don't know what KM is either). I'm not sure I've ever heard either of these words in spoken use before, but they both worked well, and I bet I find myself using them.
