Yes, we’ve been here before and we’ll be here again. With notes on Salieri and Empty Rooms.

Royal Sunset rose blossom against blue sky

You know, I work hard at this writing thing. I’ll take a paragraph and re-do it and re-do it and pump my fist in the air (well, internally anyhow) when I find a way to take out three words and a comma, because less is more.

Remember the scene in Amadeus when Salieri was chicken-scratching away at this piece of music and finally moved it along a bit and Gave Thanks To God right there & then? That’s how I feel.

Playing Mozart’s role would be Paul Ford, as in Empty Rooms. Read it and weep. That’s not a figure of speech.

Frankly, Tim, I greatly prefer your style. Mannered is all very well for a change, and when Dervla posts something I'm always glad to read it, but day in and day out, give me the plain style of yet another ongoing fragment.

It's funny how little the styles we admire, in general, have to do with our personal style.

I agree with John.
