This by The Ditty Bops, from their self-titled debut album in 2004. I’d never heard of them before, nor have I since; but this is a remarkable song and more than one friend, hearing it in the background, has stopped talking and asked “What’s that?”

The Ditty Bops are a female duet with (on this album) tight harmonies and tuneful tunes, with singing that is athletic and graceful. They sound very young. Ooh La La is fast and tight and a torrent of words hurtles by: Was it the fighting was it the fist / Was it adventure with a jealous twist / Was it desire for another's kiss / What brought the house down? Every time I put it on, I’m glad I did. Now I’m curious if they ever did anything else.

Links · Amazon, Spotify, couldn’t find it on iTunes, live video - more fuzz, with band. Both videos drop some of harmonies; neither approaches the quality of the recorded version.

thank you, this is great fun..

Spotify has a whole lot more, including the note 'in 2006 their sophomore album Moon over the Freeway was released, accompanied by a nationwide bicycle tour'.

My kind of band..
