For Japanese, "Haiku" must consist of "season word" and "5-7-5 sound symbol".
Season word: early summer
Sound symbol : ???
But, in English, only seasonal word seemed to be required..

Shita, 'sound symbol' would be syllable in English, and this one does follow the 5-7-5 syllable pattern.
Or do you mean something different entirely?
