I’ve written about them before, how the flowers start out the purest and most delicate white imaginable and then fade into purple decrepitude. Wikipedia suggests this is Trillium ovatum.

Trillium blossom fading to purple

This, unlike most other Flowers of the Day, is the Ricoh GX100 at work.

Tim,

Nice pic! I live near Toronto with a ravine at the back of the house. All along the banks of the creek that runs through the ravine are thousands of these gorgeous flowers.

Sadly, they are fading to purple, but there is always next year.
