I already noted that the really in-your-face thing about Shanghai is its forest of huge soaring buildings. Enough pictures have probably been taken, but I couldn’t resist adding a couple to the collection.

The tallest is the Oriental Pearl Tower. I couldn’t decide which of these I liked better and decided to damn the expense, bits is cheap.

Across the street from the base of the tower there’s an area full of souvenir stalls and food stands. One of them advertised “German Sausages” and as I walked by, I found it staffed by two round-eyes talking German to each other. Full of surprises, Shanghai.

First one is much better to my eyes (on a MBP screen anyway). I like the moon near the building (presumably the moon anyway).
