It's been raining really a tremendous amount recently, if we didn't like it we wouldn't live here, right? A couple of after-the-rain photos.

Vancouver's North Shore mountains

During the heavy rain you can't see the mountains at all; but early on a cold grey morning, bicycling to work, the clouds lifted enough to show a low, low snowline. On top of the mountains there will be a lot of snow, they'll be exquisite when the sun returns.

Raindrops on lilies

We had a flash of sun (sun!) today for a few hours. It may not serve lilies well to gild them but they wear diamonds well. At moments like this if you hold very still, you can convince yourself you can see and hear the green growth.
