Warsinger died. Warsinger is the nom-de-guerre of a mid-level player in the middlingly-popular MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. Cameloters fight fearsome monsters that swarm the countryside (and often lose). Camelot is divided into three realms, Midgard, Albion, and Hibernia, who regularly fight each other and win and lose and die.

This is different. Warsinger, an outgoing and popular character, was played a by a real-life 32-year-old with heart trouble who really died, really truly, no resurrection at the cost of pride and experience points.

So they organized a funeral.

I grabbed a copy of the picture in case it vanishes from the Web.

heart

In the picture, the two figures standing within the heart shape are the in-game avatars of Warsinger's real-life girlfriend and sister.

Tip o' the hat to the gamer in the family for the pointer.
